Common Uses: This medicine is a stimulant combination used to treat attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). This medicine may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.

How to use this Medicine: Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Take this medicine in the morning right after you wake up or as directed by your doctor. SWALLOW WHOLE. Do not chew or crush before swallowing. If you have trouble swallowing the capsule whole, the capsule may be opened and the entire contents sprinkled on a small amount of applesauce. Swallow the entire food/drug mixture right away without chewing. Do not store the mixture for later use. STORE THIS MEDICINE at room temperature at 77 degrees F (25 degrees C) in a tightly-closed container, away from heat and light. Brief storage between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 - 30 degrees C) is permitted. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE, take it as soon as you remember if it is in the morning. Do not take the missed dose in the late afternoon or evening since taking this medicine late in the day will interfere with sleep; instead, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. DO NOT take 2 doses at once.

Cautions: DO NOT EXCEED THE RECOMMENDED DOSE or take this medicine for longer than prescribed without checking with your doctor. Exceeding the recommended dose or taking this medicine for longer than prescribed may cause serious side effects. Check the labels on all your medicines (e.g., cough-and-cold products, diet aids) because they may contain ingredients that could increase your heart rate or blood pressure. Ask your pharmacist about the safe use of these products. Avoid drinking large amounts of beverages containing caffeine (e.g., coffee, tea, colas). Caffeine can increase the side effects of this medicine. KEEP ALL DOCTOR AND LABORATORY APPOINTMENTS while you are using this medicine. BEFORE YOU BEGIN TAKING ANY NEW MEDICINE, either prescription or over-the-counter, check with your doctor or pharmacist. DO NOT DRIVE, OPERATE MACHINERY, or do anything else that could be dangerous until you know how you react to this medicine. BEFORE YOU HAVE ANY MEDICAL OR DENTAL TREATMENTS, EMERGENCY CARE, OR SURGERY, tell the doctor or dentist that you are using this medicine. Certain laboratory test results (e.g., corticosteroid levels) may be affected by this medicine. FOR WOMEN: IF YOU PLAN ON BECOMING PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy. THIS MEDICINE IS EXCRETED IN BREAST MILK. DO NOT BREAST-FEED while taking this medicine.
